Chiri Kyoseishi Dark Green

Chiri means leftover and refers to the dark bits of kozo bark that are added back into the vat, these bits are what give chiri papers their distinctive flecked look.

Kyoseishi means strengthed and refers to the process of treating papers with konnyaku starch and crinkling them to create a tough, water resistant, cloth-like texture.

This paper comes in a beautiful dark green colouration, the kozo bark flecks and textured surface add to this sheet's unique nature.
